Chandra "Chandi" Krohl is an experienced human resources director who has worked in HR leadership roles at Clarabridge and Kastle Systems, among other companies. She has more than two decades of experience in her field. Outside of his professional pursuits, Chandra Krohl enjoys reading and has set up a Little Free Library in her front yard.
A neighborhood book exchange, Little Free Library is a grassroots movement initiated by Todd H. Bol in 2009. Bol built a small box to house books on his property that year and subsequently launched a nonprofit to inspire others to follow in his footsteps and promote reading. There are now more than 100,000 Little Free Libraries worldwide.
Those interested in starting their own Little Free Library can build a similar structure in their community. They can also choose to purchase an already-constructed library through the Little Free Library online catalog. Someone must also be appointed to promote and look after the library. From there, the library should be registered with Little Free Library unless it was purchased from the online catalog, in which case it is already registered and comes with an attached charter sign. Owners can then promote their library and even add it to the Little Free Library world map.
